After 5,468 days, England have broken their losing streak Down Under and claimed victory at the MCG.

It was another Test on fast forward as the competition was wrapped up in two days with 20 wickets falling on Day 1. Thanks to an extra couple of millimetres of grass left on the pitch, it was all about the bowling as a reverse of Perth, with the result this time falling in England’s favour after opting to field first, came to pass. The win will give England some confidence heading to Sydney for the final Test of the series, where they will hope to wrap up their campaign 3-2 to have some positives to talk about when they head home.
